Adam Dorman – Illustrator

Adam's professional journey has been diverse, spanning roles as varied as printer's engineer, wine merchant, international event consultant, and global webmaster, before finding his true calling in illustration. After leaving his hometown of Liverpool and working across continents, he now calls Port Talbot in South Wales, his home.

Parallel to his career, Adam has consistently woven creativity into his endeavours, providing design services to a wide array of clients, including educational institutions, esteemed scientists, TV & game companies, and charities. Illustration is now his full-time occupation and passion, through his company – 6040.studio.

Inspired by his love for Art Deco and modernist architecture of the 1920s to 1940s, Adam's primary collection of architectural illustrations captures the elegance and timelessness of these often-neglected structures. He views his work as a mission to preserve and restore structures that have lost their original purpose and significance to the communities that built them. In Adam's eyes, each illustration is a tribute to the elegance and grandeur of architectural design, inviting viewers to rediscover the essence of these buildings and appreciate the enduring beauty beneath their current facades.
